Accounts Receivable Specialists – Studio City, CA

Purpose of the position:

Manage a portfolio of properties by performing the billing, accounts receivable and collections efforts while also providing customer service support to the Property Managers and Tenants

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Primary Duties

  • Daily Activities
    • Collection activities for current and past tenants (except CAM/Tax)
    • Assisting tenants with questions, issues and disputes
    • Posting and reconciling Tenant payments
    • Checking for wire payments in bank accounts
    • Posting chargebacks
    • Filing Tenant statements and keeping property books updated
  • Weekly Activities
    • Review Aged Receivable Report
    • Prepare Default notices as needed (instant-serves, 5 day grace 10 day grace)
  • Monthly Activities
    • Delinquency Reports
    • Review Tenant Accounts
    • Prepare and send out monthly rent statements to Tenants
    • Charge interest and late fees in conjunction with statement processing
  • Annual Activities
    • Assist with mailing NNN billings

As Required Duties

  • Back-up and assist co-workers
  • Handle difficult collection issues
  • Process Move-outs and Security Deposit refunds
  • Prepare default accounts for submission to Legal
  • Prepare delinquent accounts for Collections
  • Responsible for ensuring that Tenant information/files such as Yardi notes, tenant books and tenant files are kept current and accurate
  • Correspond with Property Managers & other internal personnel regarding tenant account matters
  • Prepare and forward W9s for tenants


  • High School Diploma; some college preferred
  • Microsoft Office proficient
  • Yardi Experience a plus
  • Computerized Phone system (Fonality a plus)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Quick learner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
